Regularly washing, claying, and waxing of your car will keep its remarkable shape however the reality is, it’s often not enough.  If you're tired of looking at your automobile with dull, lifeless paint, then paint correction is the solution for you.

Do you understand what paint correction is ?

Paint correction is the process of repairing tiny scratches and flaws from a vehicle's clear coat. The detailer will cut into the clear coat of a vehicle's paint until the scratches are leveled or eliminated using an electric polisher, a microfiber buffing pad, and a unique cutting compound.

Why do you need a paint correction service?

Firstly, it will extend the life of the paint. The transparent coat on your paintwork will be damaged over time as a result of scratches and oxidation. Over time, water, chemicals, dirt, and pollutants collect in these scratches and scrapes, eroding the paint. This can eventually lead to corrosion and rusting, which can be a costly problem to fix. Paint correction eliminates and prevents these tiny scratches.

Secondly, any polishing or paint correction service provides your vehicle with a significant shine. Clear coat restoration can be accomplished with paint correction. The paint will regain its lustrous, wet sheen when polished correctly. Your car will appear years younger, with a brighter, more colorful appearance.

When Should You Have Your Car’s Paint Corrected?

Examine your vehicle in direct sunshine. Are there any swirl marks or scrapes visible? Do you have any spiderwebs in the paintwork ? Do these blemishes and scratches make your vehicle appear dull and unattractive?

Most cars on the road have swirl marks and scratches, and most drivers have no idea what to do about it. These blemishes and scratches will eventually become irreparable if they are not treated properly.

If your car has these flaws and faults, paint correction can help with the restoration and can remove swirl marks, spider webs, fine scratches, water spots, bird droppings, and other imperfections. This enhances the sheen of your vehicle and makes it appear as if it just rolled off the showroom floor.

Stages of paint correction

Stage 1: The first stage includes using a heavy cutting compound, a machine polisher, and a polishing pad to properly cut into the clear coat. Grit is gradually reduced in the first stage, and the damage should have decreased leading into stage 2.

Stage 2: When the car's paint has moderate to medium swirl marks and scratches embedded in the clearcoat, the next phase is Stage 2. At this point, you'll use a variety of cutting compound and pad combinations. Typically, a more complex compound is used first, followed by a softer compound to remove any light scratches leftover from the previous phase.

Stage 3: A final step polishing process that involves a finishing compound and a pad. The final stage polish leave you with deep gloss and shine.
